With no higher honor for the French than to pay homage to its heroes, SUPERBIEN Studio is proud to announce its involvement in Maison Gainsbourg’s Museum.

33 years in the making since the death of the legendary French singer-songwriter and provocateur, the Maison Gainsbourg and its museum opened its doors, on September 20th, 2023.

SUPERBIEN worked with in processing countless hours of significant and some never-before-seen archival footage, weaving the moving images into an eight-channel fifty-minute video experience, narrated by Serge Gainsbourg himself. 

The footage is further brought to life by subtle motion and animation, illuminating the artist’s trajectory from birth to death, and his many sources of inspiration and countless accomplishments in between.

As of his passing in 1991, the project has been a priority for his daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg, who, proudly opens the doors to this important dedication to her father.

SUPERBIEN Studio cannot thank Maison Gainsbourg enough for their trust, and for the opportunity to participate in the building of this archival monument to Serge Gainsbourg.
