E-5008 REVEAL
Something Big is Coming!
There’s only one carmaker that’s existed for over 200 years – of course, we’re speaking about French heritage brand Peugeot. For a player who nearly invented the consumer automobile game, innovation and constant improvement are second nature. Staying abreast of and leveraging the latest developments in engineering, technology and safety has helped Peugeot consistently deliver competitive vehicles that not only perform but delight. Who said style can’t coexist with substance?
The newest update to Peugeot’s 5008 range, the E-5008, is no exception to this rule. The fully-electric, large SUV debuted March 24th, 2024 and to build awareness and excitement Peugeot looked to Superbien – for the second time in as many years – to devise a striking activation, mesmerizing visuals and a compelling suite of digital content to proliferate across socials.
SUPERBIEN’s other adept collaborator on this project, Accenture Song, guided the digital concept but also contrived an essential aspect of any Digital Out of Home experience – a high-traffic and impactful location. What better place to grab as many eyeballs as possible than Europe’s busiest train station, Gare du Nord? About 700,000 travelers pass through Gare du Nord in a day. From shops and eateries to timetables and the arresting Beaux-Arts architecture, there’s a lot to see. But! Leave it to the Superteam to devise an eye-catching and tech-forward immersive activation. Only what content would organically mirror Peugeot’s own unique combination of form and function and still demand attention in the most bustling train hub in Europe?
Constructing a pop-up 3D billboard box, big enough to hold the real E-5008 itself, SUPERBIEN’s designers and technologists offered visitors to Gare du Nord – and subsequently around the globe, via social media – a window onto a fantastical, nature-filled world. It was essential for Peugeot that 4 key aspects of the E-5008 be on full display: the car’s roominess, up to 7 seats, the range of up to 660KM and fast charge 100KM in 10 min. Through careful framing and perspective, SUPERBIEN delivered a lively taste of hide and seek employing an anamorphic effect so inviting, the content is undeniable.
Across land, sea and sky SUPERBIEN’s motion team breathed life into a whale, a dinosaur, an eagle and a school of jellyfish that all help to playfully hint that “something big is coming!” As each animal dips out of its environment inside the box, the audience is gripped by its sheer closeness – surely if you just reached your arm out, you’d graze the pleated throat of that colossal, diving whale! When each creature returns to its rightful place, a cheeky little riddle teases the viewer’s curiosity that much more. What’s not as big as a baleen whale but has room for 7? The E-5008, naturally! And what’s stylish and inviting, digitally-focused and inventive? SUPERBIEN’s Peugeot E-5008 Reveal. Something big, indeed.
